Programme of Events
2022 - 23
Meetings with a speaker
The new 2022 – 2023 season will begin on Tuesday 4th October in the Osprey Suite at the Grant Arms Hotel at 2.00pm and continue on alternate Tuesdays through the winter, finishing at the end of April and will include, as usual, a Christmas Lunch and a Spring Tea as well as a good mix of speakers, which we hope will provide something for everyone. Visitors will be most welcome and will be charged a small entrance fee and encouraged to join u3a.
Last year’s programme included a talk on the Funny Side of Farming and an insight into the workings of the Grantown Museum. Then on Zoom at the beginning of the year we had inspirational meetings with Lynn and Sandra from Lynbeck Croft and with Katherine and Richard Gillings who spoke about the Highs and Lows of being a Foster Parent. Since emerging from lock down our meetings have included a wide variety of topics including: Cairgorms Connect; Kilts and Kilt making and The New Cairn Distillery .
