Tuesday Meetings with a speaker
The season begins in October and continues on alternate Tuesdays through the winter, finishing at the end of April and will include, as usual, a Christmas Lunch and a Spring Tea as well as a good mix of speakers, which we hope will provide something for everyone.
We meet in the Osprey Suite at the Grant Arms Hotel at 2.00pm.
Visitors will be most welcome and will be charged a small entrance fee and encouraged to join u3a.

The community economic and health benefits and its link with high altitude mountaineering. 20/10/26 - David Capon - Red squirrels - The lives and trials of a local favourite. May talk on their interaction with grey squirrels and pine trees as well. 03/11/26 - Hannah Burrows-Smith - Mountaineering - Qualified British Mountain Guide, working in the Alps and Scotland with over 30 years’ experience 17/11/26 - Peter Mackay - Lighthouses - Previous Chairman of the Northern Lighthouse Board. 01/12/26 - Chiara Alagia - Landscape - A Ranger with Cairngorm Connect. Talk entitled "A Landscape in the Making." 15/12/26 - CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2027 05/01/27 - No meeting 19/01/27 - Ben Spareham - Swimming in the Cairngorms - Local ex-Geography teacher with an interest in visiting the lochs and lochans of the Cairngorms. 02/02/27 - Judith Dougal - CAB - Representative of Citizens Advice Bureau, covering all aspects of their advice work. 16/02/27 - AGM - Speaker from membership TBA. 02/03/27 - Dermot Williamson - Environmental issues - Climate change activist. 16/03/27 - Steve Goodall - Local history - Local man who produced an exhibition at the museum two years ago on neolithic and Pictish peoples of Strathspey including making replica tools and implements. 30/03/27 - Kath Barnes - Police work - She will talk about her police work in the south of England. 13/04/27 - Duncan Grant - Local history - Local with a fount of knowledge and information on the history of Strathspey. 27/04/27 - SPRING LUNCH A copy of the programme card can be downloaded here |
